- Call to order: at 7:00pm Mayor Pro Tem Almond called the meeting to order.
- Announcements:
Reminder – Please silence cell phones for meeting
- Approval of Agenda: Councilmember Hooper made a motion to approve the agenda, Councilmember Yount seconded the motion, unanimously approved.
- Approval of Meeting Minutes for July 6, 2021 Regular Council Meeting: (All meeting minutes are posted on the Forest Hills website once approved.) Councilmember Hooper made a motion to approve the meeting minutes for July 6, 2021, Councilmember Couture seconded the motion, unanimously approved.
- Acceptance of Financial Report & Checklist for the month of July 2021: (All financial reports are posted on the Forest Hills website once approved.) Councilmember Couture made a motion to accept the financial report, Councilmember Hooper seconded the motion, unanimously approved.

Mayor’s Report: Jim Wallace - absent
Roads: Ron Yount - Councilmember Yount said he noticed a tree had fallen when making the loop around the village, but it had been cleaned up.
RPO/TAC: Marcia Almond – Councilmember Almond said she attended the Southwestern Commission picnic, and it was very nice.
Planning Board:
Village Safety: Nilofer Couture – Councilmember Couture said that two officers patrolled a combined 44 hours for the month. She asked if officers hours should be increased when students are returning for fall the first couple of weekends and council agreed they should. She said that there were thirty 911 calls on the report and noted that most of them came from North Country Club Dr. and were in connection with rentals and the University Inn. Council discussed and suggested contacting the owner of the University Inn and asking him to attend a meeting to discuss rentals.

- Discussion of plaque with Mayor’s names/terms: Mayor Wallace gave a list of names of all mayors he could recall since the incorporation of the Village. Stephanie will contact the Clerk of Court and try to determine dates to order plaque.
- Discussion of community get together: Marcia – Councilmember Almond discussed dates and decided on Sunday, October 17, 2021 to have the gathering at the Assembly Hall, everyone will look for potential catering vendors and get invitations and discuss further details at the September meeting.
- TWSA –Marcia - Councilmember Almond discussed and council agreed that we should discuss costs and other details with TWSA and look at potential grant opportunities as well as a grant writer. Council suggested speaking to Ron Mau for additional information since he is on the board of TWSA.
- Ordinances – Marcia – Councilmember Almond suggested that the council look at ordinances about pet noises, she said that there are two that are similar, but hours may need to be specified.
10. Additional Public Comments: Dan Perlmutter suggested gathering more information about WNC Connect and possibly having someone come to a council meeting to discuss.
11. Adjourn: At 8:15pm, Councilmember Yount made a motion to adjourn, Councilmember Hooper seconded the motion, unanimously approved.
