VILLAGE OF FOREST HILLS PLANNING BOARD MINUTES APRIL 8 2014

Meeting was called to order @7:10 PM

Minutes for Feb/Mar/April meeting to approved at May meeting.

OLD BUISNESS

Rick updated us on the progress of meeting with   Jamie Van Pelt about the progress of presenting a master plan for Forest Hills.

An attempt was made to meet with Chris Green along with the county planner Gerald Green at the village land in question.

Rick and Chris Green have had phone conversation concerning the land development

 

NEW BUSINESS

1. Discussed moving Tuesday meeting times back to third Monday starting in June

Rick made motion to move them back to Monday and Janie seconded. Motion carried.

2. Kolleen suggested to Jane that we have a joint meeting with Economic Development, Rich Price at a future planning board meeting and also meeting with TWSA director about future development.

3. Council recommended speaking with Ron Hancock about zoning & ordinances changes-Suggestions for questions among the planning board members.

4. Discussion of appropriating money for maintenance of the clean-up of neighborhood road ways.

Starting a neighborhood clean-up day every other month in the neighborhood

Clark Corwin our council liaison spoke at the end of our regular meeting.

He stated he is asking the council for $2000 for the planning board to have more training and knowledge about planning and board issue.

  1. Have a workshop to introduce procedures and planning rules

  2. Rules of procedure for ordinance changes, and variances

  3. The use of a Charette for workshop purposes

He also encouraged us to use a recorder and overhead projector for future meetings and the use of village emails.

Also proposing to council for grant for toolbox-master plans and implement ideas for the future
