MINUTES OF THE COUNCIL OF

THE VILLAGE OF FOREST HILLS

for

May 6, 2008

1.         Meeting called to order at 7:02 PM by Jim Wallace, Mayor Pro tem

2.         Financial Report presented by Jim Weir, Village Accountant.

            Acceptance (Iobst/Tweedy)  Unanimous.

3.         David Moore, Legal Council for the Village of Forest Hills, reported (via Wallace), that State Law does NOT require the presence of Legal Council during Council Meetings. He indicated that it would be financially beneficial for the Village to call him when Legal Advice is necessary.

4.         Consideration of appointment of Mayor, Mayor Pro tem, and Councilperson delayed until June, 2008, Council Meeting.  (Tweedy/ Iobst)   Unanimous.

5.         Wes Stone, Village Zoning Administrator, volunteered to make the necessary corrections (i.e., inserting all necessary ordinance omissions / corrections that were omitted form the Planning Board's Revision of the 2007 Council Accepted "New/Replacement" Ordinance document.

6.         Wes Stone, Village Zoning Administrator, was asked to write official letters to:

            Jim Moss and __________ concerning compliance with R-1 Zone, one-family housing restrictions.

7.         After considerable debate the Council decided NOT to propose a Moratorium (as suggested by Wallace) on construction within the Village until the New Ordinances are approved.

8.         The June 3, 2008, Council Meeting will include a Public Hearing on the 2008-09 Budget.
