Resources for Seniors:  I run a website called SeniorsMobility.org, which provides information for seniors to stay active, mobile, and independent.

I’ve recently published comprehensive guides that might be of interest to the residents of Forest Hills, including nearly two dozen guides on various types of mobility exercises for seniors (including free downloadable PDFs of the exercises).

You can see one of the exercise guides here: Best Mobility Exercises for Seniors

Here are the links to some of the resources:

COMMUNITY ROADSIDE LITTER PICKUP

When:  Saturday, November 2, 2019 @ 9:00am. Plan on approximately 1-1/2 hours.

Who:  You, your family, and neighbors

Where:  Meet behind the Forest Hills entrance sign on Stadium View Drive.  There will be a white canopy tent set up. We’ll divvy up roads and areas within Forest Hills to walk.

Provided:  Trash/recycle bags, reflective vests, quality trash pick-up gloves.

Goal:  To raise awareness about the litter issue and send a message to those who contribute to it. (And to get out and walk in our community and mingle with neighbors.)

Jackson County sponsors a countywide litter pickup event twice/year which they are calling “Cleaning Up The Mountains.”  Our local community event will be registered as part of this larger event.  Please join us in keeping our area a clean and healthy place to live.

A mixed-use development is in the works on the ETJ properties located behind the Village entrance sign adjacent to The Summit.  These properties are not within the Village boundaries, but are within the Village ETJ (since it aligns the Village boundaries) so any development is required to meet the stipulations in the Village of Forest Hills Zoning Ordinance (the Zoning Ordinance can be found on the Ordinances & Maps tab, or a copy can be obtained from the Village Clerk.)   CLICK THIS LINK TO SEE A CONCEPT OF THE PLAN in PDF: CloverLeaf Development Group, LLC (it may take a few minutes to load) or CLICK THIS LINK TO SEE A CONCEPT OF THE PLAN in JPG:  CloverLeaf Development Group, LLC.
